it could be that the person is lying about the car being stock, but in reality this has 671ps, 837nm, while an m5 comp has 705hp, 863nm (tested by dsc off), and so the power difference isnt that big, around 30hp, 30nm. the weight isnt that big of a difference too, base m5 weighs 1904kg, while a comp weighs 1888. and so, i think a 0.1 sec 1/4 difference is possible (10.71 vs 10.8) and for the 0-100, again 0.1 sec difference (2.8x vs 2.9) and thats the case for the claimed stats, (3.3 vs 3.4)

Considering that the M5 F90 showed its age after the M550i G30 LCI came out, it comes to as no surprise that they are now a match in ungoverned top speed estimates and they're really only 0.4s apart in the 1/4-mile. If I had said that about a 540i M-Sport versus an M5 back in 2003 people woulda called me CRAZY.

I'm sorry to butt in here on this page.
But is anyone checking out the problems regarding the Car and Driver website? I have not been able to see what is happening on it for the last 5 or 6 days.
Is it a server problem? Or are they in some type of trouble?
Car and Driver tested the new M5 recently.
