Could you please change the Curb weight for the Ferrari FF
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_FF
1,880 kg 4,145 lbs
http://auto.ferrari.com/en_EN/sports-cars-models/car-range/ff/#specifications
1,880 kg 4,145 lbs

User avatar

Yes its about 200-250 kgs weight difference.

User avatar

BR2+  10y ago

Not even close to being 400kgs heavier, Its "barely" above 200kgs.

User avatar

dddd  10y ago

FF is about 300-400 kgs heavier than SLS.

What I also notice is that the AMG is a convertible/roadster, which means it has a higher drag coefficient than its coupe counterpart, and the Ferrari FF is a hatchback coupe almost meant to be an SUV.

About 96% of the time the FF would beat the SLS. It obviously has more of the tech and even more power. FF is AWD, SLS is RWD. Also, both use 7-speed dual-clutch transmissions.

User avatar

kinda expected. I would be shocked if the FF which has 90hp more lost. Mind you that was a SLS roadster.

Mercedes SLS AMG vs Ferrari FF in roll drag race :

FF did pretty well.

User avatar

dddd  10y ago

There will be for sure a successor of FF in the future. Ferrari has produced 2+2 V12 models for many years and they will produce them in the future.

That car has also realy great owners opinions.

User avatar

Piorun  10y ago

Well, now I know that at last FF will receive FL for 2016 model. It will have new 3.9 V8 from 488 and current V12 improved to over 700 hp.

Also AWD system will be better. Car will be lighter.

I love everyday sports cars, but it propably doesnt sell like they expected beceause there will be no future next generation replacement for FF.
I think there just too much of competition in this segment, beceause top Audis, BMW, Mercs are often chose in this role, there is also Panamera, Bentleys etc

Market is huge, and everyday Ferrari seems like a cool idea, but... I guess, they give it up and that is sad story.

One of the greatest aspect of Ferraris are despite big V12 engines, very long full warranty. Before it was 5 years, now i heard even 12 years, so thats great that You will drove it all the time, not like other cars with just 2 years of warranty, which is a shame.

I would buy a Ferrari just for the warranty itself beceause it make it the best offer on the market.

Yeah pictures certainly dont do all cars justice, Looks great in white, But its way too long, Wonder how the sales are?

User avatar

dddd  10y ago

It looks fantastic in person.

I have seen recently the red FF on Szpitalna street in Cracow...Its an absolutely incredible supercar.

FF vs 458 Italia:

User avatar

dddd  11y ago

Those comments are hilarious. Thats truth.

Anyway FF is also a luxurious car that can carry 4 adult people in comfortable interior. But it is not that important because any car can be compared in term of straight line acceleration with another. No matter which of them is more "sporty".

User avatar

BR2+  11y ago

I hate the comments on videos like that, people always using that "Luxury" excuse when there car loses.

Ferrari FF vs Mercedes S63 AMG :

FF is doing realy well against Gallardo LP 560 :

User avatar

BR2+  11y ago

Just get an RS6, Roomier then both and just as fast, And more "Practical" While saving you QUITE a bit in your wallet

User avatar

dddd  11y ago

@Piorun Both cars are masterpieces of engineering so to say which one is better you will have to drive them. It is extreme subjective.

Panamera has 4 doors. Ferrari is a coupe and has fantastich V12 N/A engine.

User avatar

saxy  11y ago

people buy cars based on price buy VW over Audi, or Seat Leon over GTI... not because the mclaren 12C is a bit cheaper than the italia 458!!

User avatar

BR2+  11y ago

..I think just about everybody who buys a performance car, Regardless of money, Buys a car because they like it, And not because one offers more performance for less, Atleast for the most part, You can buy a GTR for 80k And smoke a LP640 for 100k less, But so what, You could buy a 10k Civic and smoke a GTR, So what. I think any real car person buys a car because they like it, And not on this pound per price crap.

User avatar

Piorun  11y ago

Well, You can also buy tuned up EvoIX with 400hp and it will be almost as quick. This is not the point.

FF is most practival Ferrari. But is it better than Panamera Turbo?

User avatar

saxy  11y ago

Did I just hear someone say no one needs a Ferrari cuz there are gtrs? Lmao. Do you go around telling people Who needs an LV bag when theres a Guess bag for 5% the price, same size and effectiveness

User avatar

BR2+  11y ago

Ferraris are great didnt say they were, Not my type of cars though. But i think whatever segment of a cars price one choses is always an important decision to make, Wether it be 2k or 2M, Price always plays a factor in buying a car, Even if you can buy anything, If one can afford a 350k car, Doesnt mean they can afford a 400k car.

But all those things listed are extremely subjective and its how one views and choses to use his/her car, Some people are picky, Some arent, Some can use a car for everything some cant, Its all in how you use it, Unless its an actual need.

User avatar

dddd  11y ago

In what you dont agree? That price in supercars segment is of no importance or that Ferrari are very good sport cars ?

Whether car costs 200K $ or 1mln $ is important but whether car costs 250k $ , 300k $ or 350k $ is in my opinion almost of no importance.
