Hi all, this very car is actually mine, just found out it was here :) Indeed the engine is not OEM. I swapped it with a 2,3l Duratec making 270hp. Definitely transforms the car, as the chassis can take easily this power. The weight being just 760kg wet on full tank, the performance is amazing. You can check all about this car on Lotus-111.com. That's one cool car, I like the Lotus Exige, but I'd prefer the S version with 3.5 liter supercharged V6 making 345 horsepower. The Exige S's engine came out of a Toyota Camry and was given a supercharger, most likely a twin screw .

I didn't know that powerful engine was available for the 1st series Exige. Is it surely road-legal? No sources to prove it was available to the public.

Oh, that seems to a serious racing tool. But that time is unbelievable! Faster the line of top supercars - Vette Z06, GT-R, Gallardo! and almost the same quick as 458 Italia! That's unbelievably incredible even if it's not road-legal!.. or just the secret in a driver? But still!

I love this car. In addition it looks great!
