Has the top speed of this car ever even been tested? If it was released in 1988 and if it could indeed reach 167 MPH, that would make it the fastest Japanese car from 1988 to 1990 ( Due to NSX.). Yet in 1988 the 300ZX Turbo SS was the fastest production Japanese car of that year (As tested by MotoTrend).

A special version of Supra for JGTC car produced in 1988. This is the fastest Supra for worldwide market. featured a 7M-GTEU engine with modified CT26 turbo. Also, it has different bodykits and Momo parts on interior. It has almost identical performance just like JZA70 Twin Turbo. Top speed is 167 mph, 0-60 mph is 5 sec and 1/4 mile 13.9 sec. This car is R32 GT-R rival.
