Hey. 2018 Turbo S owner here. Believe the hype. This car is better than you imagine. The only gripes I have are the stock P Zeroes, the lack of sound (fixed with exhaust), and that it does heat soak if you drive hard on warm track days.

Aside from that, it’s a serious supercar that’s a kitten on the street.

User avatar

scarry? makes the driver full of scars, or it is the car itself full of scars? wow, good to know...
tyres are not as important on 4wd cars, as we all know.

User avatar

cosimo  5m ago

truth: the pirelli tires have improved a lot and some said it is almost identical to the cup 2 tires, but it will suffer if it meets standing water

the other painful truth: por-shee now pretends they use standard tires as if they're the lowest grade on the market, if they ever think of switching to cup 2 tires, the gap will open up lol.

rumor has it the gt2 rs used special tires that was delivered on the day of testing at the ring to set the quickest lap time. if you belive you will receive the same exact specs they used, keep on dreaming.

same goes for amg gtr and audi performante.

these are some hidden facts that vw fans do not wish to disclose in public.

Some people just go on a site to watch it burn... and its members burn in horror and frustration. Men like that can neither be bought nor reasoned with...just ignored.

Well said, my friend, we are understood.

I prefer the 488 but this is a magnificent supercar.

"It is not where a car was made or where it's engine is but rather how it performs and how fun it is that defines it."

Very true, Porsche had somewhat problem with that up until the late 80s, espacially with Turbo model. They were all enjoyable but too dangerous. The 964, especially with 4WD, transformed the car's character into a tame, usable performance machine.

It's incredible what envious people do to Porsche owners.
Who would burn someone's car just because the car is great!?
I can't believe this world anymore.

So apparently it has a claimed weight of 1595kg, yet when drivetribe weighed it with a FULL tank of gas, the weight was just 1605kg. Very refreshing to see honest weight figures.

This thing will be included in Assetto Corsa next week, as replacement for 911 RSR, which is delayed due to development complications.

AC now has Panamera Turbo, Cayenne Turbo, Macan Turbo, Carrera S, 718 Cayman S, Boxster S, 918 Spyder, 911 R, 911 GT3 RS, 911 Turbo S. And that's just roadcars....

Porsche know how to build sports cars but I wouldn't say this is the best supercar in the world. In this price range the R8 definitely screams and looks more supercar. And if it were my money it would be the mclaren 570s

User avatar

dddd  2y ago

991.2 Turbo S i definitely one of the best supercars that is currently produced. Thats for sure. But we cant say which supercar is "the best" one because it depends on what someone likes. Its very subjective (since most supercars that are produced are real good and superfaast).

Anyways if you like Porsche so much (nothing wrong with that) you should know that their engines are often underrated in power output. 991.2 Turbo S engine has around ~620-650 HP crank power in my opinion (you can search for dynos in net).

User avatar

Sonatine  2y ago

Wow, what is wrong with this "cosimo" guy?! He is writing a hating-novel full of stupid lies and random facts, haha! What a ridiculous fool, who is probably simply hating Porsche because the Turbo S destroyed his favourite car or something like that. Whatever...

The 991.2 Turbo S is currently def. the best supercar on the planet! It's mega comfy for a supercar, it got the best suspension and the best gearbox in it's segment. And with all it's technical-assistants and multimedia-stuff like the amazing Burmester 3D-surround system (which is absolute top of the line beside of the systems of Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Bentley and Rolls-Royce), the new navigation-system and last but not least things like the fully adaptive and electric-adjustable, heatable and climated sportseats - it's more like a modern sedan, which you can drive the whole year and even on rainy and snowy days - thanks to it's AWD and 4-wheel-steering. But the special deal is, that it beats the 458 Speciale (605 HP), the McLaren 570S (570 HP) and the R35 GT-R Nismo (600 HP) on most racetracks and it's extremely close to cars like the 488 GTB with 670 HP and the 675LT with 675 HP on almost any racetrack (it even defeated the 488 GTB on one track).

So, you good the most comfy supercar available for the whole year and any weather with 580 HP and the racing-performance of supercars with 650 HP. That is true Porsche-power and nothing less than engineering-perfection. I mean... tested in 2.6 seconds on 0 - 100 kph, 334 kph Top-speed - simply amazing.
