I drove this car today. Previously had an appointment for a 360 Spider but they gave me an upgrade for 10 euros. Lmao
Anyway, this thing is surprisingly comfortable to drive. I had it in automatic with paddle shifters, which took some time to get used to but still work well for its age. The engine? Beautiful sound. The instructor told me his Huracan is so loud you couldn't even be able to talk to each other in one.
What surprises me is that I actually fit in the car. I'm 6'4 (or 194cm) and still had room to spare up and down.
I went like 45 minutes on rural roads, and this thing pulls like crazy from 80 to 120, almost in an instant. The other 15 minutes I was probably going on the Autobahn. I actually had no feeling of time during the ride, so it could have been more. It was only a two lane but plenty of space and only like 5 cars every kilometer.
On my first run I managed 270 before I had to brake and keep some distance to the traffic. But when the cars were gone I could push this thing up to 300 kph. It could have gone faster but I was genuinely afraid doing that considering the conditions of the road.
Genuinely felt like that scene in Top Gun where Tom reaches 10G. I think I never had so much fun in my life. People waved at me and even honked once in a while 😁 I'll never forget this experience

Back when Ferrari was a surprisingly conservative brand.

Comparative blogs are like anything else. Opinions are like *******s, everybody has one but let’s be pragmatic here folks. Considering money IS the final straw w/ what....98% of us?? That said the ONLY comparison here is performance & THATS ALL! My 2006 Corvette was 97 dollars short of 65K out the door. What was the F430??? About 200K? In my eyes, even used there’s STILL NO COMPARISON. THEY BOTH HAVE 2 Leather seats & 4 tires. After that it completely stops. You simply CANNOT COMPARE a hand made almost piece of fine art to a production assy line car. My best friend pays over a grand for an oil chg. I pay 79.00 dollars . He paid over 6 grand when he had to replace his rotors recently. I paid less than 1K for 4 brand new rotors & race pads. Quit comparing a monaLisa to a fingerPainting!! Cheers everyone. RCD/ LA CA

I have a heavily modified 06- Z51 Corvette Convertible & my best friend & Co- Pilot has an 06 - F430 Coupe. My car puts 523 to rear wheels w/ 467 ft lb tq. Where we “ race” (HPSD) I regularly out perform him. But overall, we are just about dead even. The simple truth is , paid for or not , you damn well better put back an Amt.Equal to or better than a car pmt.every month JUST TO AFFORD MAINTENANCE!! If money wasn’t an issue, dear god, OF COURSE YOUD WANT THE STALLION But considering it is to 95%of us ILL TAKE MY AFFORDABLE BEAUTIFUL CORVETTE ALL DAY LONG!! Honest truth is wherever we go my car gets just as much attention has his & I don’t sweat my next oil change!! Lol.

Dude, I'm no GTR fanboy, **** nisasn, I'm just saying that these car's aren't at the same level. If you have a 6200 cc ZR1 you have to put it on the line next to a 6200 cc Ferrari like the FXX and not a grand tourismo 599, but the FXX have 850hp so that will smash the ZR1 anyhow. And the ZR1 does a Quarter mile (~400 m) time: 11.2 (source: wikipedia) not in 10.7.I chose the Carrera GT because it's successor (the Porsche 918 Spyder) only has a 3.4 litre 500hp engine.
