This car was so fast and consistently so at that. It barely had launch control, and it was a useless feature on the car anyway. It hit 60 in first gear. Yes, 60 MILES per hour. Normally only American and Italian supercars with old-school manuals do that. But we are talking about a Japanese supercar with low torque and high revs and a sequential; characteristically it is not far off from what a limited-edition BMW Z4 M would be if powered by that brand’s only truly high-displacement performance engine (the S65 V10); that car would have been an EASY competitor to an AMG SLK55 Black Series, but BMW was so afraid of stepping over the toes of the M5 and M6 twins.
Today’s supercars, except for maybe the odd Revuelto or SF90, do not have consistent rolling start times relative to their 0-60 times.
