Technically the lightest roadlegal Aventador based limted Lamborghini coupe with a dry weight of 1450 kgs
The next lightest car is the Centenario which is at 1520 kgs and then the SVJ and SV at 1525 kgs

Edit:maybe SC18 alston and Invencible are lighter but we don't have any info on their weights

Imagine a car so exclusive, you'll never see it being tested

This has always been a car i was curious to see a Nurburgring laptime of, if the Aventador SV can hit a 6:59, I imagine this would have easily beaten the 918

still can't believe that this thing is street legal, it looks so much like an aventador GT1 (if it were to be made)

Yeah, that car will turn some heads.

@ BR2+: To take up Automotive so I could restore old cars, even if I were filthy stinking rich, I'd still want to work, if for no other reason that to stay busy, I'd get bored just sitting around doing nothing. I'd also set up a trust fund for my niece for when she graduates high school.

people who spend 4,4 millions on a car do have more than 4,4 millions to spend and probably more than 1 house.

User avatar

BR2+  12y ago

...If you have $4.4M...why would you go back to school?...

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

@ Hans: $44,000,000?! I'd be sitting pretty with less than 1/10th that much. ;)

User avatar

Hans  12y ago

True, but this is car for people with $44,000,000 at least ;)

User avatar

Shaggy  12y ago

Is any car worth $4,400,000? As much as I love cars, I'd never pay that much for one. If I had $4.4 million to spend, I'd buy a house and a new car, go back to school, and still have plenty of money left over.

Veneno Roadster for 4.4 million? W...T...F...

User avatar

Mental  12y ago

Was awed by this Lambo's Venom? Then prepare to shock even more! Lamborghini is planning in near future to present the.. Veneno Roadster... The quantity of units is expected to be tripled, and the price list to be increased in 10% - 4.4 million bucks.... Maybe the Roadster will become more refined?.. naa, that's hopeless. :D

I have to say a few words about the Venenos exteriour again:
It does not look bad from that top down view, just from every other view...like the Gumpert which looks cool, but, hell, not beautiful...

I would be admired with the Veneno, if it looked like Lambo should - pretty futuristic but not too much like That. Sure it makes a lot performance functions.. (and people's shock).. but I believe Lamborghini could combine the functionality with beauty... Shame they didn't, following that Jet-fighter inspiration that seems to give Lambo more attention.... And, yeah, shame it will never be tested or even driven, but anyways, Veneno did its mission.

"Is it just m, or are Italian cars getting uglier?"

Ohh yeah... Shame, Italian cars are getting less Italian... German influence... Italian cars are getting more reliable, more functional, more usable, more hi-tech.. and by the bright logic all should be excellent, but I find it kinda sad... The most are losing its soul by getting too clever... You know what I'm talking about.. in past Italian cars were more extreme, less reliable, capricious, but still were giving an absolute driving enjoyment, even they were breaking down, we still loved for what they are.. for their Italian souls...

Still, Veneno makes a sense for Lamborghini. As it is a huge PR for the company. Lamborghini bided their right time - 50th anniversary, and Veneno showed the world that of what technical advancement Lamborghini can produce, and the world is shocked of Lamborghini keeps their business seriously. And Veneno "should prove nothing to anymore, few numbers and its futuristic exterior hint on what a weapon it is". It is like an expensive unique painting from a famous artists, it makes lots of noise around it but actually does nothing. That's the way I suppose Lamborghini does it politics, and it works with Veneno! Doubtless, that's a technical masterpiece,.. but an aesthetic disaster... Anyways, Veneno does the profit for the company.

But, by my logics, the situatiuon with Egoista is another! This comes to be totally senseless, as.. 50th anniversary is already celebrated with Veneno, Aventador LP720, and that parade of 350 Lambos.. that already makes a Enermous PR, why do they need more by presenting Egoista?.. Technical potential is already shown with the Veneno and 6-Elemento... Egoista is not that level, so it comes to be just an attention grabber with its design... But, damn, it so dreadful, and to present something ugly like that it just seems so dull for serious people.. don't know, maybe only kids can be satisfied with this... Shorter: I do think now this Egoista is just a waste.

The Egoistas cockpit reminds me of that of a fighter jet.

@coolshirtguy

i agree, lamborghini should handpick the owners who they know are going to use it on a racetrack

@BR2
As much as I hate to say it, the Veneno is little more then RICE: Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement. And it doesn't even qualify for that last bit. It doesn't matter if all that stuff on it actually does help its performance, since said performance will never be used. Does it matter how much downforce it produces at 150mph and beyond when it'll never see those speeds?

And the worst part is Lamborghini KNOWS this. They know their customers and they know this car will never be thrown around a race track. They deliberately wasted time, effort and money on a track monster that will likely spend 10-15 years in a garage, then be sold for double its already-ridiculous MSRP. Then the process will be repeated until the thing gets trashed in a shipping accident or some idiot who can't handle it wraps it around a telephone pole. Watch, a few years from now we're going to hear a story about some prick who's been driving/driven in Bentleys for the last 20 years trying to show off in one of these and driving it into a lake or something. Just like that one guy who's wrecked an Enzo and a Veyron.

A damn shame too, why build a car like this if its never gonna see a race track? If It were my company, i would NEVER build a car like this, and not have it see a race track, Lamborghini should be ashamed of themselves, building a track monster, and only hand it to somebody who wont even race it.

I like the fact that Lambo gets inspiration from certain things like Fighter Jets, i loved the Reventons F22 runway take off dash, i loved that and its looks, but this is something different, put this into full production, let it be tested, like any other car, compant should not abuse a cars nature like this, thats why i have restrained myself to not buy a car thats better on the track then the road, heaens to earth ive been so tempted to buy a brand spanking new ZO6, but im not going to a track day every other week, and id be abusing the car, and thats what Lambo did with this.

Ill never understand car collectors, Jay Leno and Jay Kay i canunderstand, they actually take care of there cars and drive them, but the type who just wrap them up and cool them, Mm, a damned shame.

@BR2
I like the Egoista's interior as well, but I think Lamborghini is taking their whole fighter jet/stealth bomber design language a wee bit too far. They need to stop screwing around and just build a plane already, get it out of their system.

The only numbers that are important to most buyers at this level are production numbers and the price tag. With only 3-5 of them being built, the Veneno is one of the rarest production cars on the planet, and I can guarantee you that none of the buyers care about performance figures. Hell, there AREN'T any performance figures! We had absolutely no idea how fast or quick this car is; at best we could attempt some guestimates based on the Aventador. Yet the Venenos have been snapped up before they've even been built, just because they're the most exclusive Lambos around. I guarantee you that none of these cars will ever see a racetrack. At best, a couple might see a drag race or two in Dubai or something. But for the most part, they'll sit under a tarp in a climate-controlled garage, and be relegated to a conversation piece and an investment as a future collector's item.

...You got the "Ego" part right..

I dont like that thing at all, but i really like the interior, just not the materials, the Egoista is horrd looking, just plain ghastly, i like the rims though, but overall it shouldnt have come, seems like a waste.

I didnt mind the Sesto Elemento, it was okay, and the pressure of performance is getting to be extremely high, or even too high, thas why alot of companys are ditching manuals and putting more car in the driver then driver in the car, But you can have function and beauty, just look at how Gorgeous the Saleen S7 TwinTurbo is, HUGE downforce, Very low Cd.29, and the thing is a thing of beauty, but this damn this isnt, the ACR had huge downforce too, but that looked great, same with a MT900S, all GREAT looking cars with gigantic downforce, but non are hurt in the looks department, in my opinion ofcourse.

Atleast the LaFerrari trys to hide its DF buy going under the car for the most part.

Pretty soon cars wont even have cooling vents and spoilers, it will all just be one big cooling vent spoiler car, wheels will no longer look cool, the cars front ends will be all gashed up like this one, these sails on them, spoilers that look stupid, 1 seater cockpits to lose weight, and so on, its getting a bit rediculous, i think cars these days are PLENTY fast, its a bit of a shame most performance cars are sold solely on there numbers...

User avatar

CoolShirtGuy  12y ago

@BR2
Have you seen the "Egoista"? I think it's got this thing beat in the "Only a mother could love it" department. But the Sesto Elemento looks pretty cool, imo.

I think we're getting into the age where performance standards are so high that function is outweighing form. As speeds get higher, weights get lower and everyone jumps on the downforce wagon, you're seeing more and more vents, scoops, ducts, wings, splitters, etc. I think we're going to see a lot of cars in the vein of the Saleen S7; maximum downforce with minimum drag. The Veneno in particular strikes me as one of those cars that can theoretically drive upside-down with the amount of DF it produces.

And as engine performance goes up, those engines need to breathe more, so intakes become larger and/or more numerous. They also put out more heat, so extractors and cooling vents also become larger/more numerous. Brakes also need cooling, so that's more ducts and whatnot. Who knows, one day it might get to the point where Lambos look more like Le Mans Prototypes than real road cars. But even if they're ugly as sin, one thing is certain: people will still buy them because of that angry bull on the badge. They may grumble about it being hideous, but they'll still fork over ridiculous amounts of cash to drive it home.

Is it just m, or are Italian cars getting uglier? The new Quattroporte(Ruined) The new Ghibli(Same boat different waters) This Horrendous thing(My God) The new LaFerrari-_-, The new Pagani Huayauarauaah(Goodness a leap backwared from the Zonda, in Looks anyway) Pretty much every Fiat and Lancia at the moment, Alfa Romeo is doint ok, they only have 2 models available, but not bad.

I maintain the Aventador looks great, i dont have anything negative to say about its looks,
