The Lincoln MKZ received the Continental's hotted-up twin-turbo V6 during its facelift, and even then it wasn't particularly sport-oriented, but at the end of the day it was still a midsize sports sedan that could give an Audi S6, a Mercedes-AMG E43, and a Maserati Ghibli S Q4 all a run for their money! A performance sedan in rental car's clothing!

How is the continental faster than a MKZ both using the same engine and the Conti is heavier?

I have done quite a few sub 5 second 0-60 MPH runs with my 3.0 L Conti, much better than Lincoln's stated 5.5. Do 4.8 -- 4.9 runs on a regular basis. It launches like a fighter off an aircraft carrier deck, no slippage or chirping, with the AWD and torque vectoring feature. I target young punks with their 5.0 L liter Mustangs, have taken down around a dozen this year. With this engine, the Conti is a sleeper, you don't expect a 4600 lb. car to take off so fast. Mine is a stock Black Label, which it makes victory even sweeter.
