We both not that car wasnt stock, Honda even admitted, But sven a stock Type R would do around the same if not better then the RS at the top end 300lbs lighter, Better coefficient drag, Better gearing, But in the terms that Civic hitting 1mph lower then a Z/28 and the same as a 991.1 Carrera S.......I dont think so..

I think everybody knows that the RS engine underperforms or even gets broken. Just calculate with 300hp for the Focus RS. If this is still fast enough for you, you will be happy with the RS. If you want to outperform a Golf R or Civic R from 100-200km/h dont go for the Focus RS!!
On the other end everybody knows that the Nordschleife record of the 310hp Civic is fake. Topspeed suggest about 380 hp.

the weight is different and dont forget that the RS is spinning 4 wheels with the heavier AWD system while the civic is only spinning 2. AWDs always loose more power at the wheels, but also it seems like people suggest that the Civic Type R wasnt stock.

True but a few bolt ons and I’m at >400hp and >425lbs torque. In my 2018 w/LSD up front I’ll roll a type R on track. I could easily go 450/450 w/E85 reliably. With Snow tires I have a 4 season Beast Rally car. That’s why I never considered the Tupe R. Fine machine just can’t put the power down with any mods. W:/FWD. Plus drift mode is Lol fun.
