2006 to 2009 was probably the best time period for Audi. We got the R8 (V8 + V10 manual), the S6 and RS6 V10, the TTS plus RS, the Audi S5 with a V8, the RS4 B7 was still in production etc.
And not to mention all the wins the R10 TDI was pulling in at LeMans!

Unlike the BMW and Mercedes twin-turbos, this one DOES NOT make more power than claimed. That's rare for a twin-turbo German car. The C5 RS6 was also no faster than an E60 M5, barely so than a W211 E63.

The saloon is the one to buy.. it's lighter and quicker and you'll be lucky to find one

It may be like the C6. For the year after the release of Avant sedan will appear.

User avatar

Jeff B  14y ago

Journalists seem to think there will be no sedan, which would be bad news indeed..

@Muse

Hope so sedan will coming too.

@phavyarden Wow! It looks awesome!

@Julle85
The datasheet of the M6 originally showed 250 km/h later it was modified to 305 km/h by a Mod. Ask the Mods about it!

@Inline 6 Rules

So what difference is this M6 and normal M6?

Stock M6 is limited for 250km/h.

@Julle85
Probably it wasn't added because the only difference is the top speed.

User avatar

Julle85  14y ago

@Inline 6 Rules

Yep. But i mean Audi RS6 C6

@Georg

Why fastestlaps dont have a data from Audi RS6 Plus Sport And Plus Exclusive?

Yep. But i show you to Audi RS6 avant clip whitout limit and what is stock.

User avatar

Georg  14y ago

wrong
stock RS6 250km/h limited
for the standart RS6 was a 280km/h limiter option avaible

With 303km/h (limited!!) from factory
RS6 Plus (500unit limited)
RS6 Sport Plus (limited)
RS6 Plus Audi Exclusive

User avatar

Julle85  14y ago

RS6 topspeed is 280km/h.

And whitout limit over 320km/h.

Here is stock RS6 avant clip

User avatar

Jhn  15y ago

The rs6 could acheive a faster quarter mile than the s65 easily.

User avatar

Anonymus  15y ago

@ Anelka
Actually you\'re wrong. AutoBild Sportscars did 4,1 s 0-100 kM/h and 13,2 s 0-200 km/h with the stock RS6.

User avatar

Anelka  15y ago

Best 0-100 km/h time is 4.3 sec and 0-200 km/h in 13.5 sec... Quarter mile: 12.5 sec :)

What the hell does a Link to F1 have to do with keeping an engine?

It has to do with marketing. The V-10 had a link to F1 when F1 cars had V-10 engines. BMW liked to \"link\" the V-10 in the F1 car to the V-10 in the M5/M6 even though the two obviously shared no parts.

you can get all that stuff from a V10 also.

It is easier to get better fuel economy with a smaller, boosted V8 than it is with a n/a V-10. The hp/torque is easier with forced induction than with n/a.

User avatar

There\'s no reason to continue with the V-10 for the M5/M6. There\'s no link to F1, they can get better fuel economy, more hp, more low end torque with the twin turbo V-8.

User avatar

anon  16y ago

Both the next gen RS and M5 switchin to turbo v8\'s is bullshit! stick with the v10!

User avatar

Georg  16y ago

officel... RS6 production stops in the next few days, Audi officel claim that the RS6 production ends in the next days after 5500 units build. Even with a increasing demand (they sold 2010 in 6month more RS6 as in complete 2009) Audi stop production of the RS6 to get more production capability for the all new A6 and A7 in their Neckarsulm plant. Both will be presented end of this year and went on sale early 2011. The new RS6 has already recived green light and is a go... but most likely with a charged or turbo V8 engine.

User avatar

sammyrs6  16y ago

if these number are real top speed 205mph = 330 kmph and it really does 200 in only 12.9 seconds doesint that make this the new fastest sedan in production today?

i would love to know where did these numbers come from

User avatar

Anonymous  16y ago

Offical claimed 0-200km/h that is 14.9!

User avatar

BumRush  16y ago

Officially claimed?
