Has anyone heard of the NOVITEC ROSSO F430?

The 480 horsepower Nissan GT-R and the 483 horsepower Ferrari F430 accelerates faster than a 572 horsepower Lamborghini Murcielago. LOL.

The FXX isn't even street legal, and if you buy one, it stays at the Ferrari factory until you race it on a track, as awesome as the FXX is, it's still just a waste of money.

Dude, I'm no GTR fanboy, **** nisasn, I'm just saying that these car's aren't at the same level. If you have a 6200 cc ZR1 you have to put it on the line next to a 6200 cc Ferrari like the FXX and not a grand tourismo 599, but the FXX have 850hp so that will smash the ZR1 anyhow. And the ZR1 does a Quarter mile (~400 m) time: 11.2 (source: wikipedia) not in 10.7.I chose the Carrera GT because it's successor (the Porsche 918 Spyder) only has a 3.4 litre 500hp engine.

Mmmmmm. I own a z06 my friend has a 430 we have just done 2,000 touring europe. Vette is quicker in general. Uses a lot less fuel carried more luggage including some of mr 430's .got over speed ramps better.... Buy the cars drive the cars then comment

I bet your teeth are disgusting.
Lol just kidding. Honestly the F430 is not the best looking Ferrari and only slightly better looking than the Z06 IMO.

If they cost the same, the 430 still wouldn't have 470 ft/lb of torque. I can't say the F430 is all around better. And if the Z06 did cost as much as the 430, I'd just have to settle for the cheaper ZR1.

Don't get me wrong, the z06 is a nice car that performs well, but let's do a reality check here. If the Vette cost as much as the 430, this wouldn't even be a discussion. While they both perform comparably, the F430 is more well composed, more well made, better quality, better looking, and just all-around better.

I've rented a z06 for a day, and while it was fun, I felt like I was driving a fast piece of junk.

If you're a talking purely performance, it's hard to say the Z06 is better. They are in the same class, but that's about all you can say. Laptimes here aren't all from the same test. Only Variano is to my knowledge, and in that test, the 430 used PZero Corsa's (though it's a factory option). What you can take from individual tests is that the 430 is more composed. The Z06 likes to oversteer. The 430 is more nuetral and benefits from more downforce at high speed.

The reason I'd take the Z06 is the combination of performance and design philosophy.

dont get me wrong, the 430 isnt a bad car, but i just think Corvettes are better than the 430. but i wouldnt take a Corvette over Any Ferrari. personally i think the ZR1 is to Monstrous for my taste, i like the ZO6 better.
AeroDynamics decades ahead? umm i do believe the C6 Vette has a Cd of .28, where the F430 has a Cd of .34, so i wouldnt say decades ahead
hence formula 1 cars have neanderthalian aerodynamics. i strongly suggest the moderators to replace the silly verification code with a basic 2nd grade level question (such as "how many wheels does a car have"...) to post a message on this board...

Madam are you saying you'd prefer a Corvette over a Ferrari? A Ferrari for the weekend and an R34 Skyline during the week. Anyway you could always sell the Ferrari after a month and buy a brand new ZR1 and still have change.

feel sorry for ya...

Excluding the wet laptime (because the difference my just be the tyres) the Vette wins on 5 out of 8 tracks that we have times for..... Z06 is a great car but if I was offered either car I wouldn't even look twice at the Vette.

User avatar

sophitticated? well, that depends on where you come from. and just because its italian makes it more sophisticated? what a load of shite.and didnt the ZO6 beat the F430 in the slalom? and who cares. the laps tell us all we need to know.

User avatar

venom  8 years ago

how hard is it to take that the ferrari is simply more sophisticated? have you ever heard of this magical thing called downforce? thats the reason the z06 has been raised to .34. the ferrari has same drag more grip simple enough....

User avatar

Anonymous  8 years ago

AeroDynamics decades ahead? umm i do believe the C6 Vette has a Cd of .28, where the F430 has a Cd of .34, so i wouldnt say decades ahead. bt it does have those paddle shifters, but those are stupid, (faster albeit) but much less fun to drive.

User avatar

venom  8 years ago

nevermind you are defenitely right even though the ferraris aerodynamics are decades ahead, it has a racing gearbox, much more thorough build, and a lot more grip it is still worse in every possible way.

User avatar

Anonymous  8 years ago

if a 65K ZO6 beats a 185K F430 in every possible way, that it OWNS it, end of story.

User avatar

venom  8 years ago

well the z06 will defenitely not "own" this thing but if youre talking about a zr1 i see your point. thing is though, the ferrari on the inside is a supercar. if you dont drive the vette right you get the impression youre in a well equipped cobalt!! the ferrari also has the f1 gearshift and aerodynamics on it. then theres the way the engine feels (and sounds). you cant buy any of those things cheap.

User avatar

Anonymous  8 years ago

yeah id take the Vette too, it looks better, and its a bargain, not to mention the fact that it will own this car anyday. but im not saying this is a bad car, oh no. and would some of you people say the same if the Vette had a Ferrari symbol, and the F430 had the Vette symbol?????
