"BuT tHe McLarEn iS UndeRrAtEd By 400 HP." makes raspberry fart noise
No macca fanboys, your car is barely quicker because of the turbo torque curve. The 458 has almost equal acceleration stats due to similar power-to-weight ratio.
McLaren never underrated their cars. Sure, some press cars make more power than claimed. But you can say the same thing about Ferrari.
The truth 12y ago
.I find it funny that the 1/4mile 1/2 mile, 1000m, 1mile times are so similar, yet every drag race between these 2 cars it's been a complete massacre. .
- Mp4-12c data not updated at 625Hp version
- 458 data are in lightest config possible (Press cars ...)
- Drag race you refer ... MP4-12C not stock with rear wider tires and R888

ferrari 458 is much faster on wet tracks.
yet Clarkson says the traction system on the 12C really shines in the wet...
honestly it's simple science. turbo engines have too much torque and you either spin the wheels, wasting all the power, or you go gingerly. This is what's going to be interesting next year in formula 1 when they have 4x the torque but same power...

Hehehe I get ya Grand****ingpieceof shit, I get ya in you ****ing british balls....you have a ****ing small brain if you think that te veyron is a british car and it looks that mathematics are not in your ****ing knowledge, stick to macca's third production car, THREE cars in fifteen years what a great history hahahahaha and a ****ing radical go-cart which can be road legal only in your lovely country....you will have to eat a lot of shit.....

@Remengo
So you're saying the scoring system is somehow set up in favour of British cars? ****ing idiot.
Look CLOSELY at the lap times. The MP4 wins most of the comparisons. Obviously another bottle-nosed Italian who can't take defeat.

HAHAHAHA the macca is noticeably faster HAHAHAHA!
Fantastic criteria set for this comparison, track performance 70 points and straight line speed ten times more!! Then no need further calculations to say that the veyron is the winner and the radicals are crap…..
Thanks god the 458 is a better car, is winning in all racing categories (le mans too) where the macca’s are not able to finish the race……and do not bollock with “this is not comparison between racing cars” please…. (see Sunday’s nurburgring .autosport.com/news/report.php/id/102791)
Anyway, my compliments to this example of typical british fairness and impartiality.
