...the CSL did the same thing, Except its price, Atleast in the UK wasnt a huge difference, An E46 M3 started around £42,000 pounds back in the day, A CSL was £56,000, Although thru the last 2 generations, The price has been inflated quite a bit, But still the same recipe, Its not like Bmw is alone, Cough Corvette Cough 911 Ehhhmmmurrghhh

First of the highly praised (especially by Jeremy Clarkson) M3 GTS model line :D :D

It was shitty and overpriced then, it is shitty and overpriced now.

Bring back the CSL!

C63 AMG Coupe Black Series : 7.46
BMW M3 GTS: 7.48

C63 AMG Coupe: 8.01
BMW M3 Coupe (E92): 8.05

Where are the Bmw-Fanboys who said Bmw is better on Track then Mercedes? :))) You are just ridicilous and envious!
Bmw sucks. Benz is still King and the Ultimate Driving Machine.

Wait!!
It's as fast to 100 kph as the M5 F10 and has the same top speed???
If it's cheaper than the M5 i'm buying it!

These kind of cars normally run Pilot Sport's semi slicks, and sometimes even specially made for the car. The GTS runs Pirelli
Corsa's you can buy everywhere.
These Pirelli's are street tyres which you can drive in the rain if you want. It just lacks the grip for fast times. Put some PS2's on the son of a mother and it's a whole different ball game.
7:3x is no problem then.

0 - 100 kph -> 3.8 s Is it result obtained by testers on the tarcks or oficial from bmw? Everywere I find 4.4 for 0-100kph. Any explanations?

Tension

thats a matter of the tires, the semi slicks on the old CLS were much more radical towards track perfromance, the modern semi slicks on the M3 GTS are a compromise with some wet track perfromance left for daily driving

User avatar

Tension  15y ago

Only two secs faster than the old CSL?!

What is wrong with this car?

I have heard rumors that BMW brings a limited edition e90 M3 GTS 4door sedan with 440PS to the IAA ... has anyone more information about that topic?

User avatar

That explains why the vote I\'d started has vanished! I\'ll start it again.

FastestLaps  15y ago

The hosting company. Doesn\'t matter.

I am continuing work to make it possible to add lots more performance data for carpages.

User avatar

phavyarden  15y ago

Who?

User avatar

FastestLaps  15y ago

Yes. Everything added in last two days-or-so is lost.

The frustrating thing is, there was absolutely no need to do this.

In fact they took the whole site down yesterday. Without any warning.

@Georg

torque is the key here and also those tires and spoiler are more than enough to control the 135i performance option..

User avatar

phavyarden  15y ago

It would need be much more lighter than that, and maybe a whole new bodywork, more aerodynamic.

User avatar

gt  15y ago

put the 400hp alpina power mods in a 135i ((e82) performance option) add that gts spoiler and tires to it and it would smoke this in every way..

User avatar

gt  15y ago

that\'s a damned shame for BMW look at this!

User avatar

phavyarden  15y ago

It\'s not a really quick car for the price, i thought that it would be quicker at the Track

User avatar

TheFrank  15y ago

The logic of claiming you can spend less and have the M3 perform a lot better vs. the factory set up might be true. However, what happens when your personalized M3 has a problem? Do you think it will hold up? Do you have a warranty? Nope. Re sale value? LOL! That said, if it were my money I\'d buy a Porsche 911 GT3 or spend a little more on an Audi R8 V10.

I would like that Sport Auto do a test drive of this car. I think that is one of the best cars of the world
