458 Speciale competition

Over here on FL's sister site AT, the 458 Speciale is reported to do the 400m sprint in 11.0sec. That's accurate, even with the 9.2s 0-200kph time.
I don't mean to badmouth Ferrari, but sometimes their 400m estimates are based on a prepped strip, perhaps without the one-foot rollout; or it could be the other way around. American automakers absolutely do both.

10.7sec is possible with EITHER a rollout OR on a dragstrip. A 10.4sec time is possible because the 458S, the 12C, and the original Aventador/Huracan all share the same power-to-weight ratio.
Ferrari and US automakers are rarely "conservative" with any performance figure.

I've made calculated acceleration figures for some V8 Ferraris using available data about aerodynamics, gear ratios, torque curves and so on.
It's interesting to compare it with tested figures.

Ferrari/Quattroruote's claims for 0-100 and 0-200 km/h may be based on rollout. There is no way that even on the most perfect day with the most professional driver that this thing is doing 0-100 km/h in 3.0 (which is 60 mph in 2.9) without a 1' rollout, which the Americans and CarWow use.

Joe where is the link of the laptime of the 458 speciale in nurburgring north? Because as far as I can remember it is the 488 that did a 7:21 lap.

0-80 kph as 0-50 mph is one of the very few mph/kph substitutes allowed. But what is the issue date of Autocar magazine where this was published?
fakekillerfour 10y ago
0-80 kph = 0-50 mph: 2.6

Heres the order they came in.
1 Ferrari 458 Speciale 2 Ariel Atom 3.5R 3 Porsche 991.1 911 GT3 4 Porsche 987 Cayman S 5 McLaren 650S 6 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray Z51 7 Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy 8 Bmw I8 9 Vauxhall VXR8 GTS 10 Jaguar F-Type R COupe 11 Alfa Romeo 4CStill though, 2 BDCC, Both AC and MT, Yet you have to opposite conclusions from 1 car, The 4C, Ones all the way at the top, And ones all the wayat the bottom, I find that facinating.
Still, Just looking at that list, Id have to say the BDCC car top 5 would be.. The Megane, Atom, Stingray, Cayman, GT3.
